The Shrink Next Door
Mark’s song “Cry” is featured in the final episode of “The Shrink Next Door”, starring Will Ferrel and Paul Rudd on Apple TV+. The song, co-written by Bob Mair and sung by Jen Muller underscores a scene when the main character Marty attempts to reconcile with his estranged niece.
Dark Days, Bright Nights
Mark Governor has completed his score for the short documentary Dark Days, Bright Nights. The film explores the Sausalito writer’s alcohol-drenched party scene in the 1970s, and its effects on the lives of the children who were present. Mark’s score incorporates cool jazz and pop elements inspired by the revolutionary time periods of the Beat and Hippie movements. The film is being submitted for festival consideration and is expected to be released in 2022.
